1. What Information Do I Collect?
Information You Provide to Me
When you reach out to me via email or the form on this website, I will have your (real, I hope) name, email address, mobile number and addresses provided for the purpose of me showing up to my job on the day! These bits are the minimum information I need to be your photographer.
I do not collect, store, or use data from your access of this website, although if you click from here onto my Instagram I'll be able to see when you lurk on my Stories!
2. How Do I Use the Information Collected?
Use of Information By Me
I use the information you provide to me so that I can keep in touch with you to a) check in and make sure you are feeling good as the wedding day approaches, b) confirm details of your day, c) show up at the right place and time to take the photos you have hired me to take!
I will never sell or give your data to any third parties, and if you did ask me to do so, I would do it only with your consent. I value my privacy, especially online, so I absolutely respect yours too! I have a public portfolio of some of my work, and if we work together, your images (and those of your guests) might end up there (or in a future blog on this website), although I will always check that you are happy for me to do so beforehand. I do request that you opt into this, in my contract, but if there are reasons for you wanting out, I understand too! By the way, it is your responsibility to inform your guests that there will be photography on your wedding day and to obtain their consent.
Lastly, if someone wants to buy an image of you off me, hurrah! I will always check with you first. If a blog wants the images, again, I will always check with you before taking action. Basically, it is your face and your day and I won't share anything without your consent/knowledge.
Any galleries of images delivered will be stored on a GDPR-compliant platform. Basically, rest assured that data and images will only be used for reasonable and legitimate purposes, i.e. for me to do my job and run my business. No mick-taking or dodgy dealings here!
3. How Do I Store the Information Collected?
When you email me or reach out via the forms here, the contents of your email and the information you have provided goes to a password-secured email account that is accessible only by me. If you do book with me, all subsequent information, contracting, etc. is done via a GDPR-compliant platform.
You can always ask me to remove data that I have on you (after I have completed the job you hired me for, otherwise I can't really do it...), and I will do so. If we do not end up working together, your data will be deleted subsequently. Please note that it is not always possible to completely remove or delete all of your information from databases and that residual data may remain on backup media or for administrative reasons.
4. How Do You Change Your Information and Communications Preferences?
You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the information you submit to me, especially your contact information and venue of your wedding, which you have provided. You may provide updates and changes by email or via any form on this website. If you send a request to make changes, I will make good faith efforts to make requested changes in then active databases as soon as reasonably practicable.
